Open Garden
For those of you who need some help to get the garden looking its best – check out the Garden Design section.
Our next garden opening will be June 23rd and 24th, 2012. Celebrating the launch of her new book, 'The Contented Chook', Jennifer Stackhouse, editor of Gardening Australia magazine, horticulturist, garden writer and radio garden presenter will talk about keeping chooks in the backyard and the different breeds you can choose from. Jennifer will be giving talks on Saturday at 11am and 2pm and on Sunday at 11am. Opening Hours:
Saturday: 10am-4.30pm
Sunday: 10am-1pm (please note Sunday closing time)
We will also be opening our garden, ‘Krackatinni’, to the public as part of Open Gardens Australia for Mother's Day Weekend 2013 in honour of a great mother and grandmother Emma Unity Vine (Una) 21.5.21 - 26.08.11. A keen and passionate gardener who loved her chooks and was an inspiration to all who knew her.
So many of our visitors in the past have said the garden was “magical” and “peaceful” – “just what they needed” and hopefully we will continue to inspire others to discover the joys of gardening. Sharing what is possible to create in a small suburban garden is rewarding for us and we are glad others enjoy it as well.
Looking forward to catching up with you at our next opening,
Karel Vine and Anne-Louise Dampney
